Shoei RF-SR 2 Full Face Motorcycle Helmet
Shoei RF-SR 2 Full Face Motorcycle Helmet
In stock
The Shoei RF-SR 2 is a Snell M2025D and DOT-certified full face motorcycle helmet built on Shoei's AIM+ multi-fiber shell. It ships with the CWR-1 shield, QR-E base plate, and a Pinlock® EVO anti-fog lens included, weighs roughly 3.49 lbs in a size Medium solid color, and is available in six colors from X-Small through 2X-Large at $499.99.
The RF-SR 2 is the everyday Shoei — the one that makes sense if you want hand-built Japanese quality on a bike you actually ride to work, not just on track day. It takes the street sport platform of the original RF-SR and refines the parts riders notice most: airflow, stability at speed, and how the interior feels three hours into a ride.
What's New On The RF-SR 2
- Reduced drag and lift — the reshaped shell cuts aerodynamic drag and lift compared to the outgoing RF-SR, so the helmet stays planted when you check your mirrors at highway speed.
- Bigger, easier vent shutters — three intake vents and two exhaust vents, now with larger shutters you can find in gloves, plus half-open detents so you can dial airflow instead of choosing all-or-nothing.
- 3D Custom Interior — soft brushed fabric against your face, fully removable and washable, with optional cheek pad and center pad thicknesses so you can fine-tune the fit.
- CWR-1 shield with QR-E base plate — tool-free shield swaps and a base plate with fine adjustment so the shield seals evenly against the window beading.
- Pinlock® EVO lens in the box — the DKS301 insert is included, not a $35 upsell.

Getting The Size Right
The Shoei RF-SR 2 runs true to size in an intermediate-oval head shape. Measure the largest part of your head about an inch above your eyebrows, compare to the chart, and if you land between sizes, size down.
A new Shoei should feel firm — the liner breaks in roughly 15–20% over the first several rides. Because Shoei builds multiple shell sizes per model rather than padding out one shell, a correctly sized RF-SR 2 sits even all the way around with no hot spots.
If the shell size is right but the cheeks feel loose, a thicker cheek pad set is far cheaper than a different helmet — it's the single most common fix we recommend.
Shields, Pinlock & Replacement Parts
The RF-SR 2 uses the Shoei CWR-1 shield. Clear, tinted, mirrored, and photochromic CWR-1 shields all fit, and the helmet is Pinlock-ready out of the box.
We stock the full Shoei parts range so you can refresh a helmet instead of replacing it — CWR-1 shields, Pinlock EVO inserts, cheek pads and center pads in multiple thicknesses, comfort liners, base plate kits, breath guards, and chin curtains. See the Shoei shield and Pinlock guide.
Bluetooth Installation Included
We install Bluetooth communication systems in-house before we ship. Order the RF-SR 2 with a Sena or Cardo headset already fitted, wired, and tested.
The RF-SR 2's speaker pockets accept universal systems from Sena and Cardo. Rather than fighting with adhesive pads on your kitchen table, add our Shoei headset installation service and the helmet arrives ready to ride.
How The RF-SR 2 Compares
The RF-SR 2 is Shoei's value full face. The RF-1400 adds a lighter shell and the CWR-F2 shield system; the X-15 is the race helmet. All three are Snell-certified.
If you want a drop-down sun visor, look at the GT-Air 3. If you want a flip-up chin bar, see the Neotec 3. Cross-shopping other premium brands? Compare against Arai, or step down in price to HJC, Bell, or Scorpion. Browse all full face helmets or the complete Shoei lineup.
Shoei RF-SR 2 Questions & Answers
Is the Shoei RF-SR 2 Snell approved?
Yes. The RF-SR 2 carries both Snell M2025D certification and DOT FMVSS No. 218 approval.
How much does the Shoei RF-SR 2 weigh?
About 3.49 lbs (1,593 grams) in a size Medium solid color. Sizes above and below Medium vary slightly because Shoei uses multiple shell sizes.
Does the RF-SR 2 come with a Pinlock lens?
Yes. A Pinlock® EVO lens insert (DKS301) is included in the box, and the CWR-1 shield is pinned for it.
What shield fits the Shoei RF-SR 2?
The CWR-1 shield, mounted on the QR-E base plate. CWR-1 shields are available clear, tinted, mirrored, and photochromic.
What head shape does the RF-SR 2 fit?
Intermediate oval — slightly longer front to back than side to side, which suits the majority of riders. If your head is distinctly long and narrow or distinctly round, call us before ordering.
What sizes and colors does the RF-SR 2 come in?
Six sizes from X-Small to 2X-Large, in Black, White, Basalt Gray, Matte Black, Matte Deep Gray, and Matte Blue Metallic. Every size and color is $499.99.
What's the difference between the RF-SR and the RF-SR 2?
The RF-SR 2 reduces aerodynamic drag and lift, adds larger vent shutters with half-open positions, and updates the interior to Shoei's 3D Custom Interior System with soft brushed fabric. It also moves to Snell M2025D.
RF-SR 2 or RF-1400 — which should I buy?
The RF-SR 2 is the better value and covers street and sport-touring riding well. The RF-1400 is lighter, quieter, and uses the CWR-F2 shield with a wider eyeport. If you ride long days or want the quietest option, spend up to the RF-1400.
Can I install Bluetooth in the RF-SR 2?
Yes. The speaker pockets accept universal Sena and Cardo systems, and we install and test them in-house before shipping if you add our headset installation service.
Does the RF-SR 2 have an emergency release system?
Yes. Shoei's EQRS lets first responders pull the red tabs and remove the cheek pads to take the helmet off with less movement to your head and neck.
How long does a Shoei helmet last?
Shoei recommends replacing a helmet about five years from first use, or seven years from the date of manufacture. Replace it immediately after any impact — the EPS liner crushes once and does not recover.
Is this a genuine Shoei helmet?
Yes. Every Shoei we sell is brand new, genuine, and carries the full manufacturer warranty. No closeouts, seconds, or gray-market stock.
